AVA Submission Grappling: 2025 Season Announcements

We are proud to announce several major developments for the 2025 season.
This year, we are expanding our tournament schedule to include new locations:
- Everett, Washington USA: The official debut of the USA State Tournaments.
- Mississauga, Ontario: The launch of the Eastern Submission Grappling Tournament will complete our coastal series.
- Cochrane, Alberta: The new host city for the Western Submission Grappling Tournament on May 10, 2025.
Further expansions are planned for later this year into Eastern Canada and additional regions of the United States. Stay tuned!
Placement points for each of our tournament series have been updated:
- Central (City) Tournaments: 1x Placement Points
- Regional (State/Provincial) Tournaments: 2x Placement Points
- Compass (Coastal) Tournaments: 3x Placement Points
- Ultra (Season Finale) Tournament: 4x Placement Points
Match points will only be used to determine winners within a division and will no longer contribute to season rankings. This ensures fairness across all weight divisions, as not all divisions have the same number of matches.
AVA’s first-ever invitational event, Throne, will feature Pro division athletes competing for the official AVA Title and cash prizes. Throne will include a fight-night-style format, offering athletes additional opportunities to apply for matchups. The date and venue for Throne will be confirmed soon.
