Meaning Behind The Ultra Medal

The Ultra Medal represents the gravitational force of a black hole— powerful, and central to the finale tournament’s prestige.

The creative process for this medal was to have it stand out from the designs of our regional and Western series. We landed on the idea of cut-outs, giving the Ultra Medal a distinctive silhouette that offers a unique overall shape.

The centrepiece—the black hole theme—received special attention. We played with inverted designs and positioned a vortex at its heart to create a striking visual anchor. To maintain a thread of continuity with our other medals, we subtly incorporated elements like the rope texture and a harmonious palette of secondary colors.

For the ribbon, we chose a minimalist approach, ensuring it doesn’t overshadow the medal’s intricate design but rather complements it, creating a unified and elegant presentation.
