The Grounded Series was inspired by the words of Jocko Willink, a BJJ black belt of the Navy SEALs. He drew the connection between Jiu-jitsu and being grounded. One way being that Jiu-jitsu requires the literal utilization of the ground as a tool for combat. It can also be taken as a person who exhibits great balance both physically and mentally. Lastly, it means foundation and rootedness; it is connected to the numerous pathways that keeps growing, just like the ever expanding art of Jiu-Jitsu.
