Thank You for an Unforgettable AVA Season 2025

As we close out 2025, we want to take a moment to say thank you.

This year was a major milestone for AVA.

In 2025, AVA hosted 11 events across Canada and the United States.

It marked our first year in the US, with events in Washington and Portland, and our first event in Eastern Canada, held in Ontario, officially establishing AVA as a true North American league.

2025 was also the first year we fully implemented our complete season structure.

We introduced THRONE, our championship showcase event, where top ranked Throne Qualifiers earned their title shots.

Our first AVA THRONE title holders are:

Samson Hair – Gi Male Throne Champion
Cholena Thorne – Gi Female Throne Champion
Alan Chang – No-Gi Male Throne Champion
Kirman Nijjar – No-Gi Female Throne Champion

We also introduced RISE, our elite youth title qualifier divisions, launched at the September Okanagan tournament. Watching the next generation step into high-level competition was one of the highlights of 2025.

None of this happens without this community.

Thank you to every athlete who stepped on the competition mats, every family who supported, and every coach who trusted AVA with their teams.

Thank you to our sponsors for standing behind the league, to our referees and production crew, and to our staff who worked tirelessly event after event.

And thank you to everyone wearing AVA gear and representing the federation beyond the tournaments. The memories from this year will stay with us for a long time.

Season 2025 set the foundation, and in Season 2026 we will continue building on it.
