RISE Elite Youth Title: A Rising Class of Champions

The youth grappling scene is constantly evolving, and with the launch of the RISE Elite Youth Divisions, AVA is proud to be the first to introduce official youth titles.

RISE is an exclusive division for youth athletes aged 4–15 who are pushing the limits of what young competitors can achieve. Competitors must first register for their regular bracket to be eligible for RISE. It’s open-rank, open-age, and all matchups are made strictly by weight.

At the end of each AVA season, four youth athletes will represent the pinnacle of performance at AVA THRONE in these exclusive categories:

  • Male Gi

  • Female Gi

  • Male No-Gi

  • Female No-Gi

These are not titles to be defended, they are earned anew each year. Every THRONE is a new climb.

How It Works:

  • Athletes compete in RISE divisions during the AVA season (Gi and/or No-Gi).

  • Rankings are based on season performance, with certain tournaments offering different points multipliers.

  • At season’s end, the #1 ranked youth in each category will be offered a shot at the RISE Title.

  • AVA will then work down the rankings to select a matched opponent in weight.

  • Confirmed matchups will be scheduled for AVA THRONE, where the title will be awarded.

We look forward to seeing the next generation rise to the top and claim their seat in a future Throne.
