When it comes to finishing fights, the youth divisions are in the lead. Our latest stats show that no-gi youth athletes had the highest submission rate in regulation at an incredible 72.3%, followed by gi youth at 55.7%. Altogether, youth divisions combined for a 62.3% submission rate, clearly outpacing adult divisions at 45.8%, and even edging out the Throne Qualifiers at 46.9%.
The Throne Qualifiers , while competitive, stood out in other ways:
-
0% disqualifications. 0% decisions. Every match was settled clean.
-
The gi side saw a spike in walkovers, largely due to no-shows.
-
No-gi Throne Qualifiers still held strong with a 53.8% sub rate — the third highest overall.
During overtime, fastest escape was nearly twice as likely to secure the win compared to submissions in overtime, showing that it is the more common result in overtime.
Overall across all matches, 53.9% ended in submission during regulation. Decisions and DQs were both under 2%. Walkovers came in at 10.1%, pointing to a notable number of withdrawals and missed matches
